Watch Grant Funding In Action Video Series

In 2022 through The Lykes Fund, The Northern Piedmont Community Foundation awarded the Piedmont Environmental Council a grant award to support their Kestrel Box Program. The objective of the Kestrel Box Program was to teach Rappahannock County High School students how to build bird boxes for Kestrels, the smallest falcon in North America whose numbers are rapidly dwindling.

Recently NPCF staff member Renard Carlos along with PEC staff members October Greenfield and Douglas Larson conducted a site visit to one of the Kestrel bird box locations. Click Here to Watch
