Northern Piedmont Community Foundation
Awards Grants to Community Organizations

The Northern Piedmont Community Foundation (NPCF) recently awarded over $19,000 in grants to local nonprofit organizations.  These grants were made possible by the Now & Forever Fund, the Meade Palmer Fund, and the Benjamin A. and Ellen H. Soyars Fund, unrestricted funds which allow the Board of Directors to make grants to agencies based on knowledge of current need and priorities in the community.
The following organizations received grants:
• The American Children of SCORE, for the Scholarship Assistance Fund
• Eastern View High School Green Club , to purchase plastic recycling containers
• Fauquier Community Action Committee,  Inc., for the Rappahannock Food Pantry
• Fauquier Community Theatre, for new lighting system
• Lord Fairfax Community College Educational Foundation, Inc., for Kennedy Center event
• Phoenix Rising Therapeutic Equestrian Program, for “Using Horses to Help At-Risk Youth” project
• Piedmont Dispute Resolution Center, for Youth Services Training project
• Town of Culpeper, Veterans Recognition Committee, for WWII and Korean War Veterans Monument
• Verdun Adventure Bound, for “Quest for Me” Day Camp
• Virginia Civic Ballet, for “Copelia” production
• Virginia Tech Foundation/Community Design Assistance Center at VT, for Lost Communities of Virginia
• Wakefield Country Day School, Inc. at Huntly, for MacBookPro computer
